Pair of theatre posters for “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” by Edward Albee. The play depicts the complicated dynamics between a married couple with a strained relationship. It explores the tension between public and private spheres, and the illusions we create to mask our fears, shortcomings, and insecurities. The narrative leaves us with the question - what is at stake when these illusions fall apart? Using surrealist imagery to depict this tension, I hoped to express these complex, human themes at the heart of the play.
